This is what the public sees.
This is a demo of the store as it might be configured to sell books. It is complete with a customizable front page that features certain hot items and departments that hold books of different categories. Try to buy a few books and you will see the shopping cart and the screens to collect customer and credit card information. To see how it works in practice, here is an example of a real toolkit store. Go on in and buy something.
This is what management sees.
This series of pages is used to manage the store. To see how it works once you have logged in, click on the menu item Manage Products. What appears is a table of all the books in the bookstore. Now pick a book and click on the left hand button View/Update Product to get to a screen with all the information on that particular book. Here is where you change descriptions, assign a book to a department, set the price and so on. Remember from the public site that there are two pictures
for each item on sale. If you are good at photoshop and can make your own pictures and thumbnails you might want to use the first two picture links to upload your photos. Otherwise use the third one for a picture of any size and the computer will do the resizing for you.
You get the idea. These management pages are quite extensive. Explore them to your heart's content and if you need guidance on how it all works download the manual by clicking on the "Toolkit Manual" menu choice to the left.
| Layout Options
Cambria provides two layouts for the toolkit store. Our first layout option displays the list of products on the left side of the page. Our second layout option displays the navigation at the top of the page to allow for a wider area in which to display products.
Truly, though, the options are infinite. Cambria's web design and custom programming team can modify our basic store design to create exactly what you want. Click on Examples to see what some of our clients, starting with the Toolkit Store, have done with their sites. |
